Wilson's Wharf in Durban
With its incomparable harbour views, Wilson's Wharf is Durban's trendiest fusion of fun food, top shows and crafts, blended with the rustic interface of a boating marina and working slipways. The waterfront has something for everyone, from a fast-food court to restaurants providing funky food and fine dining, from cuisine from the four corners of the globe to an oyster bar, and from harbour cruise dining to a cosy coffee bar or festive pub atmosphere.

I love walking around Wilsons Wharf, peeking in at all the lovely little shops, then stopping for a light lunch and a cocktail whilst overlooking the Ocean and seeing the magnificant harbour of Durban. Cleanliness is a factor and needs to be worked on but there are some great restaurants with fantastic food.

A great place

I love walking around Wilsons Wharf, peeking in at all the lovely little shops, then stopping for a light lunch and a cocktail whilst overlooking the Ocean and seeing the magnificant harbour of Durban. Cleanliness is a factor and needs to be worked on but there are some great restaurants with fantastic food.

Parking is plentiful, with loads of security guards but the cleanliness is something that needs to be sorted out. Wilsons Wharf is starting to look rather grubby and this is no good as it is a fantastic place where you can chill out with your friends and watch the boats sail in and out. There are some really good restaurants where you get spoilt for choice, all with the most amazing view of Durbans Harbour.

A great place to gather with friends

Parking is plentiful, with loads of security guards but the cleanliness is something that needs to be sorted out. Loads of parking with fairly good security. A place where you can relax on the verandah and look out onto the clear water, watching the boats come and go, it gives you a feeling of being on holiday. There are many restaurants to choose from, depending on what you feel like but on the downside it does need cleaning up. The shops are ok, not much choice as most stock the same things but it is a market like place where you can amble along at your own pace and pick up a couple of bargains.

The best thing about Wilsons Wharf is having the view of the Ocean right there as you eat and drink cocktails.

Ample parking and a great view of the ocean and the harbour, plenty of restaurants but this place definitely needs some TLC done to the interior and exterior, it needs to be restored back to its original glory.

The hype is always on everyone to go to Ushaka but you know what, Wilson's Wharf is just so cool too. Try the down to earth pub, think its called Pirates Arms, go have an eisbein there, wow, its massive, and the atmosphere, is just so relaxing. One place certainly to keep on your to do list on the weekend.

Nothing like having a catamaran metres away from you while you're sipping on a glass of wine.

Cool place to chill, but perhaps more stalls to draw more people, better take away cafes at the food court and a small renovation required to upgrade the place....some sections seem delapidated.

Wilson's Wharf is a great spot to spend a Sunday afternoon with the family. With a stunning view of the harbour and boat rides available for the family, it is extremely relaxing. You can also have a meal at one of the many food outlets situated at the site, and browse through the shopping area for some fantastic souveniers.

Really a good place to chill out and unwind. There are also boat rides and day cruises offered from the wharf. There is a little flea market and food available as well. With the durban waterfront taken away, this is a good substitute.

Great place to relax

Cocktails whilst watching the sun set...if that sounds appealing to you, then you will love it here.

The vibe is relaxed, very therapeutic, just in the magnificent views itself.

This is one of my favourite spots in Durban and just writing this review makes me wish I was there.

It's good for a romantic night or, or with family/friends, either way, you're sure not to be disappointed.
