    Dear Nkosinathi

    I refer to our meeting at Multichoice in Centurion on Wednesday afternoon and wish to confirm the following :

    I returned my monologue M-Net decoder to Multichoice as it had broken. It was tested at your offices and the assistant agreed that is was no longer in working condition.

    I was told that Multichoice would provide me with a replacement for R450.00 but could not guarantee that it would work once I got home. I was prepared to pay the R450.00 but wanted confirmation that I could return the decoder and receive a full refund if it did not work once I tried it at home. I was told that I was not entitled to a refund even if the replacement did not work.

    It was eventually agreed between both parties that a new digital decoder would be installed at my home for the cost of R350.00 and I could retain my M-Net channel. However, it would take two weeks before the new decoder could be installed.

    According to my calculations, the latest date for installation is 8 February 2017, however I find this a rather long waiting period. Please don’t forget that I have paid for my viewing time and am now receiving nothing.

    Please advise urgently when I can expect confirmation of the date and time of the installation.

    Kindly confirm receipt of this e-mail and confirm that the contents are correct.

    Hi Kitso

    The channels are pre-defined and fixed and you cannot select your own channels or the channels that comprise the package. Our business model (which is consistent with other large pay television operators across the world) is designed to ensure that we are able to provide a sustainable pay television service. It is not possible to provide customers a service in which they choose individual channels as this will make the DStv service unaffordable for most subscribers. ~MSA
