Our analog decoder during Monday 10 October started to flash a E04 error. I phoned the call center and were instructed to take the decoder to the service center. On Tuesday I took the decoder to the Randburg center around 09:20 (ticket 5525) and was eventualy directed to counter 76. The agent took the decoder to another counter to test and eventually came back and informed me that it is a software prolem that was escalated. They need to keep the decoder to update the software. I provided my name and cell number.

On wednesday I phoned the callcenter. The agent promised to escalate the matteustomer service. Well today, Friday 14 October I phoned again after nobody made the effort to even try and communicate with me. I was instructed that no log is in the system for Tuesday. So I hand in a decoder to a Multichoice agent that did not follow standard procedure. I have no record of the event. So this mean the decoder is stolen.

The call center agent also, after numerous discussions with her supervisor, told me to go back to the service center to resolve the problem - in other words, multichoice service center will listen to your complaint but will do nothing to resolve it - you the customet must sort out your own complaint with multichoice. When I asked to be transferred to the system to rate the service, that was claerly announced as a service on the IVR announcement, I was told this service is no longer available. either it is a lie or just another cleas sign that Multichoice do not care about their customers. I think both option are true.

To summarise: My decider is gone with no record on the /multichocie system, promises were made to keep me informed(even escalated to customer service) and I am paying for a service that I do not have...sound like theft and fraud all rolled into one ...that is magic if you can srew the customer at the same time

I was disconnected for a "late payment" for my DSTV package. In fact, the payment and disconnection had overlapped, yet Multichoice insisted I pay a re-connection fee. Needless to say, I will cancel my services with such an ungrateful company, that has ALWAYS received my payments in time for the last five years! DSTV is overpriced, this is the perfect opportunity to make the switch to Netflix.

Any interruption in the DSTV service represents a very serious crisis in our household (for my better half in particular). So when we 'lost' the hard drive on our PVR decoder, I was catalysed into immediate action to rectify as soon as possible. So little goes wrong with the setup, that when one needs to 'fiddle', the wires and plugs look like a confusing mess. Nonetheless, I unplugged a decoder, and schlepped off to Randburg, close to closing time. I was amazed at the service. Parked easily, entered easily, obtained a service number and was attended to 'momentarily' (as the say in the USA) - basically immediately. The consultant was completely conversant and competent, and tested the decoder immediately. To my embarrassment, it was all OK, as I had mistakenly brought the secondary decoder (as I was tactfully informed !). Returned the following evening with the 'correct' primary decoder device, which was tested, and swapped out immediately, with yet another excellent experience. If any service institution wants to know what service excellence is all about, don't bother to look elsewhere. The right attitude (sincere 'can do'), responsiveness, competence, great ergonomics, one stop 'shopping' - one point of contact does it all - no bouncing from pillar to post, fair and understandable pricing, brilliant queue management (there are none !), and more. I would challenge any Yowziter to nominate a better service provider ! Multichoice really rules, OK !

I used this walk-in centre on a number of occasions and the service has always been superb. On the odd occasion, you may experience queueing challenges but the support staff are highly knowledgeable.

As always I received excellent service at one of the best walk in client centres. The only negative comment I have is that despite sending an sms to the number given to me in order to source someone in my area to connect my Explora, I have yet to receive the list or contact details - so I had to find my own contact person to assist me.
