On the 29th May 2008 Dorey’s Swim Club (“DSC”) was proudly admitted as a Member of Central Gauteng Aquatics (“CGA”) which is affiliated to Swimming South Africa (“SSA”) - the sole governing body of swimming in South Africa.
DSC is based in the heart of Gauteng, at Dorey’s Swim Centre in Linden Johannesburg, where our members are ably coached by Adrian Dorey who is one of the most esteemed stroke correction coaches in South Africa.
Within only a few weeks of opening its doors the Club has admitted and registered 40 swimmers - which we believe is close to our optimal size. Yes, we are a small club and that’s the way we like it – exclusivity being the name of the game. The overriding objective of the Club is to create a sustainable, healthy, competitive and progressive environment in which all swimmers are given the best possible opportunity to achieve their true potential – and what better way to do this than by limiting membership.
