This is what De Vette Mossel Beach Seafood Restaurant believes in. We opened the first one some 9 years ago on an isolated beach at Groot Brak Rivier, near Mossel Bay. Since October 2012 you can also off your shoes at the second De Vette Mossel on our Bushveldt Beach at Hartbeespoort Dam, Gauteng. And now also at a third De Vette Mossel in Namibia at the Walvis Bay Waterfront.

Seafood, seafood and fresh baked bread that is truly sinfull! Eat to your hearts content sitting with your toes in the sand. Start with Mussels, you choose a shell and its your spoon for the meal. So bring your own cutlery and drinks, if you do not like getting your hands dirty. Then it's bread with farm butter and homemade jam, calamari, fresh line fish, seafood potjie, meat potjie, juicy flaky plump snoek and sweet potatoes, salad, veg dish, watermelon, spanspek, koeksisters, coffee! Each course is served as it is cooked announced by a ring of a bell. The bread can sucker punch you, you need to pace yourself or you'll eat R195 worth of this treat.Truly a great experience and good holiday memories made.
