Well let me start with the negative feedback first....... the waiter and service I received was really sub-standard, seemed to wait a long time for food to arrive, on a positive note I had kingklip...... tasted truly awesome but portions are just toooooo small, then for desert I had the chocolate volcano yum yum num num.. So to sum it up I had poor service but a good meal but left hungy
Every seems to always rave about Cape Town Fish Market but seriously the Gateway branch really needs to up their game. The food was disgusting. I ordered the fish of the day served with mash. The fish was marlin and it was so dry and bland, totally tasteless. The portion of food was so small and for the price it was ridiculous. The waiter was so preoccupied with his cellphone. I know Wimpy serves better food than this. I was hoping the waiter would give us some hint as to what was good on the menu, that never happened even though their was specials. Really unimpressed with their service and their food.
The food was lekker, from the starters to the main meal. There is a wide variety to choose from of course making your choice more difficult. The service was good too, a pleasant lunch experience!
The only and best place i go to for sushi, good service and amazing food and the menu is the best by far.
Wide selection Breakfast
I opted to have a proper breakfast on Saturday morning and decided on CTFM, especially as their food is halaal. I was not dissapointed at all, definitely value for money. The selection included yoghurt, fresh fruit, pastries and about 4-5 warm dishes. The service was also remarkable. I have generally found the service in this area has improved drastically - not sure if this was due to the peak season as it was school holiday, but I reckon keep up the good work!
Cape Town Fish Market was recommended by a few people. So on a recent visit to Durban we decided to settle our fishy feeling tummys at Cape Town Fish Market. The place is nice, but for the price you pay, the food does not meet the standard. The waiter was also not very helpful in terms of recommending a good dish. It was very disappointing. Not something we would try again.
