Doppio Zero (Cradlestone Mall)
Cafes & Bistro
Dragged hubby out to Cradlestone Mall to do some more (post Christmas) shopping, the poor man ! We had a quick look around at the propositions of a couple of the other eateries, and then decided to have a quick brekkie at DZ (positively influenced choice following our great recent supper at DZ Greenside, as well as the endorsement of some old friends regarding this outlet !). Lovely 'woody' ambience, look, feel and location, as well as outside east facing balcony, this is something DZ have really hit the sweet spot on !.Maybe a liitle let down by the 'kerb appeal' (front facing the mall), but big and airy once inside, spreading out to the balcony. The shop was busy (but not hectic) in relation to the competition (always a good sign) ?! We enjoyed pleasant light bites of a toast and a mushroom dish washed down with a nice coffee. My only criticism was the 'too cool' first coffee, which was immediately rectified by a piping hot second cuppa ! We noticed several people ordering the prego roll, which looked especially yummy - even for breakfast. So we'll be back to try one of these soon !
