    Reissue of Lisence

    hi - I have recently received my new License fm Winklespruit and it has been Lost - can a new one be reissued on my ID no or do have to go thro the whole process again ?

    I called ahead to make sure that I had everything I needed. If I hadn't done that I'd probably have been back 2 or 3 times because I didn't have passport photo's or something. The waiting area is outside & was pretty cold in Winter. There was a wait but it wasn't too long. The staff were helpful but not overly so. All in all it was an okay experience!

    Not the worst service in the world

    I called ahead to make sure that I had everything I needed. If I hadn't done that I'd probably have been back 2 or 3 times because I didn't have passport photo's or something. The waiting area is outside & was pretty cold in Winter. There was a wait but it wasn't too long. The staff were helpful but not overly so. All in all it was an okay experience!

    If people consider the staff asrude at RTI WINKLESPRUIT put yourself in their shoes. RTI WINKLESPRUIT is run by government and the licensing is done by the municipality... although they are on the same grounds, they are not connected in any way. It is like phoning Game in Galleria and asking them about Checkers specials... They even have an answering service asking people to call the municipality. RTI does not know how the municipality operates and cannot answer queries for them...

    Miss

    If people consider the staff asrude at RTI WINKLESPRUIT put yourself in their shoes. RTI WINKLESPRUIT is run by government and the licensing is done by the municipality... although they are on the same grounds, they are not connected in any way.     SO...I called the number listed on the net for Winkelspruit this morning for enquiries about learners/licence. The telephone prompt was to dial the eThekwini municipality and since they haven't answered for the past 2 hours I decide to call the road traffic department politely asking if there is any way they could assist in the information I needed or transfer the call since they are one company just different departments, my query was a simple request of the closing times, but if the rude woman would just shut her mouth instead of ranting and listen maybe it would've been a quick 1 minute call leaving both of us to happily continue with our day...INSTEAD she screams and tells me that was the wrong department...DUUUUUUUUR! that is what I said when she answered, that I knew it was the wrong line, but would like some HELP. seemed too much to just assist. what ever happened to customer service? gee wiz! this is pathetic. I did not want to take half day from work to get there only to find out they are closed, hence my reason for the call. don't have people that have no telephone etiquette or patience to answer the phone in a company if they cannot.

    Rude unproffesional staff!

    SO...I called the number listed on the net for Winkelspruit this morning for enquiries about learners/licence.     I have been renewing my car licence here for as long as I can remember and I have not once had a problem. Staff are professional and efficient and one has to remember that no matter where you go you will wait in a queue so be prepared and take a book with. If you do not work and can get there later in the morning, there will not be much of a queue. It is all in the timing. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever after having been here numerous times and always been treated with respect.

    Impressed

    I have been renewing my car licence here for as long as I can remember and I have not once had a problem. Staff are professional and efficient and one has to remember that no matter where you go you will wait in a queue so be prepared and take a book with. If you do not work and can get there later in the morning, there will not be much of a queue. It is all in the timing. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever after having been here numerous times and always been treated with respect.

    Mediocre

    Everyone in Durban goes here with the expectations it's better than all others but I don't think it is. Customer service is same old same old and their service delivery is about the same as rossburgh in my experience. All in all its your usual affair.

    Well Run

    I love going here for my car licence renewal as it is very well run with competent staff who are really willing to help. My daughter did her learners and her drivers here and even though they are extremely strict it was smooth sailing. I do like the fact that they are strict because we have too many people on the road who really do not know how to drive.

    One bit of advice - do not go early in the morning for renewals as you will wait in a very long queue but if you get there after 11am you do not have a long wait at all.
