    why do u have a phone

    iv called the numbers here and no one answers whats the point of the number if they dont answer the phone

    I re-applied for an ID for the third time after i was told my file couldnt be located but ever since applying the last time on the 30th of August 2016 when i phoned to inquire i was told that the the application was only received captured at your office but untill now it hasnt been sent to the head office for further processing.

    ID Application

    I re-applied for an ID for the third time after i was told my file couldnt be located but ever since applying the last time on the 30th of August 2016 when i phoned to inquire i was told that the the application was only received captured at your office but untill now it hasnt been sent to the head office for further processing.

    At first I thought that the service that was given from the start of my application was unbelievable.     Passport not received

    At first I thought that the service that was given from the start of my application was unbelievable.     Bad service

    Phone calls not answered

    COMPLAINT

    CALLED MORE THAN 10 TIMES TODAY AT DIFFERENT TIME, NO ANSWER?

    I was pleasantly surprised when I went to apply for both my new ID card and passport last week. Be warned that no one answers the phones EVER! Once you get there however, the Akasia office is very well organised. I was clearly shown where to go and although the lines were long, I left the office after two hours, successfully applying for both documents. Within a week I was notified that both my passport and ID card was ready for collection. The staff at all points were friendly and helpful. I recommend this Dept of Home affairs to anyone needing new identity documents or passports.

Once you get there however, the Akasia office is very well organised.
