    Applying of an ID card is a nightmare! Queued for the cashier, where there has been a system problem since 15 Dec 2015 which obviously not been fixed as it's now 7th Jan 2016! Had to leave after hours of waiting in vein.

    Applying for an ID card

    Applying of an ID card is a nightmare! Queued for the cashier, where there has been a system problem since 15 Dec 2015 which obviously not been fixed as it's now 7th Jan 2016! Had to leave after hours of waiting in vein.
    When are they going to modernize there systems & processes. The staff all have bad Atttitudes and act like they are dong you a favour.

    I would rate my overall experience a zero- not a one!! I have been to the home office 5 times to collect my documents. Either you wait in a line a never get in or when I did get in. The person who was meant to be printing the certificates didn't show up for work and there was no one else available to assist. The supervisor, Dadusa, didn't even inform the people in the que, he just left us there. If I didn't speak to security, I would not have known. Went back during the week and the door was closed again, told by security that they doing stock take. Counting what? I asked and he laughed.
    Rude staff- who don't have a clue as to what's going on.
    Why are they in these jobs if they just don't care to help or learn how to do their jobs.
    Poorly run office. Poorly trained staff.

    Rude, incompetent and uncommitted staff

    fix website misinformation....working hours

    Standing outside at 8h30 on a Saturday and the doors are still closed website says 8h00. Service non existent useless not impressed

    incompetence

    to give the service 1 is not even fair.the manager by name of Margret is so incompetent that i am wondering how she got the manager position.;people working there refer you to her but she is not interested to hear what you asking she rather tell you that they can not help you.how will she know if she can help you with out listening to you?

    Managing Director

    Exceptionally bad service, you cannot even speak to anyone to follow up. Staff rude and inefficient - nowhere to complain. Lady has thrown our papers into the dustbin just to be spiteful. Would like to get some answers!

    quing excessive hours for help

    I applied for my work permit through an agent in November 2013 at Germiston and last year March was told wrong permit number was issued so it was cancelled and application re submitted. Since then my agent has been there and they say pending. In November 2014 I decided to go to nearest Home affairs office to check for myself. I was impressed with the assistance I got from a lady at Durban office, she took her time and noticed that I was issued wrong reference number which was for my old permit and information on the systems was so mixed up. She gave me the correct reference and confirmed that my permit was approved in March 2014 but sticker has not been dispatched yet and she didn't understand why. Unfortunately it's Germiston who have to dispatch sticker.
    Duran office even showed me a lot of permits which were wrongly sent to them instead of going to the correct offices and they advised I wasn't the only one with this problem as there were lots people coming with same problem. Now my agent has been sending emails every say to Ana Fulane who is in charge but no reply received from her for the past 4+ months. Regardless of all desperate measures taken and information submitted to this office,no one has bothered to take a minute and help even to acknowledge receipt of the emails. It's very unfair as I am paying tax just like everyone else even if I am a foreigner, I deserve same service like any other person in RSA

    The staff at Germiston Home Affairs are simply heartless.

    Been to and from Home Affairs Germiston to collect the outcome of my daughter's permit application, to say I'm disgusted is an understatement. I wonder how some people sleep at night. They misfiled the permit!!! Seriously??? So what am I to do now?

    No Service

    Germiston service

    I have been there every second month to check the outcome of my work permit, for 4 hours standing out side only to go inside for 2 minutes and be told to come and check again,('it has been dispatched but we do not have it')they say again and again. Please visit Springs Home Affairs and copy from them. Well done Springs.
