I had a great experience at Healthworx. Who knew that there was a mini-hospital operating below Cresta?! So convenient - it's right by all the shops so once you get your prescription, you can get it filled at Clicks or Dischem and grab any other comfort foods that you needs from the other shops. The nurses were gentle and understanding and the Dr. that I saw was lovely. I'm not a fan of doctors and my experience was as pleasant as one can have when you're sick.
Also, the prices for those with medical aid is top notch. (GEMS covered the whole app. I think it was R100 for the appointment, but don't quote me!)

My medical aid required that I go to a keycare network doctor and a friend told me about Healthworx in Cresta. I was really impressed. The doctor was friendly and made me feel comfortable so I will be going back and I am no longer concerned that I need to go to a new doctor.

This is the number one place I go to for medical care. My GP is based here and I have had experience with 3 different GP's over the year. All GP's are knowledgeable, patient and provide great treatment to patients. Even the front office staff at reception and pay point are friendly, helpful and very polite. I not only had GP consult here, but also had experience with Lancet for blood work as well as been to casualty twice. The care and treatment you get here is top class. Even though some doctors make you wait after your set appointment time, you can rest assured that they give you proper care and do not just rush when examining or treating you. I definitely recommend you get medical treatment here if ever in need.

I have had the pleasure of being assisted by a few of the GP's here and was always impressed by the service. Every staff member from the time you make that call to get an appointment, to reception staff as well as the nurses at the sisters station, are professional and friendly. My current GP Dr Sheobalak is absolutely amazing. She is professional but also has a great sense of humor just what i need to calm me down. Recently I was admitted to hospital and a doctor there wanted to do an operation. Being concerned and scared, I call my GO and even though she was busy, she returned my call and gave me good sound advice on what to do. I can always count on her, even my hubby goes to her and is always happy with her and the service she provides, the rooms are clean and treatment and care you get is great. My trusted GP

I didn't even know there were doctor's rooms in Cresta until I went onto a network medical aid and needed to find a doctor on the network in my area. That's one plus already for the health worx is that all the doctor's are on Discovery Keycare. I had an awkward experience when drawing blood for tests and ended up passing out and the staff were amazing!! No one laughed (I would have - just saying) but instead they popped me in a wheelchair, got me on a bed with some water and kept my handbag safe while all of it was happening. They wouldn't let me leave until my blood pressure normalized and they all made me feel like it happens all the time instead of calling me an idiot for not having eaten before doing blood tests! Amazing staff and a very convenient practice!

My latest set of blood results had a few nasty surprises, e.g. high glucose/sugar, and high cholesterol. My GP at Healthworx requested a Glucose-tolerance-test, which involves, inter alia, drinking a glucose-filled drink, waiting 2 hours, and then drawing blood for the lab to re-test the glucose. Anyway, my 2-hour wait was pleasant, and they even let me lie down on one of the casualty beds (free of charge). Who gives away free stuff these days (besides Yowzit?). Anyway, I'm happy with Healthworx. The Doctors have patience, perform thorough examinations, take a full history, and make proper diagnoses, with medicine and dosage adjustments as necessary. Cool

I usually visit Dr Tayo Adeyemi; but there is a panel of excellent Doctors.

I can only speak for Dr Adeyemi, as I generally only consult him; he is an excellent Doctor, and is very thorough. As I have hypertension, he let's me lie in the Casualty Ward for 30-minutes of blood-pressure monitoring (I do not pay extra for this service). This provides a much more accurate assessment of my blood-pressure, prior to any dosage adjustment. For acute conditions, I also consult this Doctor. I'm really impressed with his first-line choice of treatment, and extensive knowledge of medicines.
