The name Daruma comes from the traditional Tumble Doll, on which a face is depicted, representing the will to persevere. Japanese cuisine at its best is offered at this establishment situated on the ground floor of The Southern Sun Hotel, Elangeni. The majority of Japanese dishes are contrived to accent the natural flavours of fresh fish and shell fish and almost all are prepared so as to go well with a selection of rice and sake.
