Steers (Cresta)

Here you get quick fast service and food! Having been to many Steer's I can say this is great quality in their food and chips and especially soft serve ice cream! Overall I think Steers is way overpriced but if Steers is what you are in the mood for this is a great option in a mall

I know the servers here work hard but sometimes it takes quite a while for an order that is supposed to be fast food. Quality isn't bad but could be improved. I don't like Steer's Get Real burgers. They are too small and tasteless and I find that McDonald's cheese burgers are better. I do like the Wacky Wednesday Promotion and the burgers are pretty good. Sometimes the patties are a bit dry which is why I usually opt for chicken. My boyfriend likes the Hero Steak roll and so far Steers has always made it spot on, medium rare. Good and bad points, but balanced enough that I will buy again.

I was really hungry, so on Saturday, I visited this Steers outlet, and ordered a 600g (beef) rib and chips combo (R 106.00). (They do have riblets on the menu, for a lot less, but I opted for the mega portion).

Chips were delicious. Ribs...marinade was 9/10, meat could have been better. I sensed that there was more bone than meat, and it seems they do not use prime beef (probably one grade below). But, if one looks at the meat prices, perhaps I should not complain.

Seating areas were clean, staff were friendly, and food prepared relatively quickly. Parking can be a pain in Mint Road, but then this is not Steers' fault.

As they say "good food made real good". I love their burgers, and chips. I must still get to try their ribs.
