Having gone a few weeks earlier with Hubby to try out their breakfast we decided to go again last Saturday. I am not keen on eggs so thought great I will have toast and jam or flap jacks as per shown on menu below in hubby's review. They have changed their menu and I found the food to be cold when it gets to your table, nothing worse than cold eggs. I was advised I could not just have two slices of toast with jam and they have also taken off the flap jacks!! Their coffee is still good but maybe they need to stick to their burger menu!!!

Having noticed some banners outside this, our favourite Rocomama's - local is very lekker, we decided to give it a go. After the very 'banal boring bland basic brekkies' on offer everywhere, we were pleasantly surprised that Rocomama's Town Square have been able to energise and differentiate brekkie, at competitive prices (after all this is what they did for the burger ?!). The obviously ambitious ownership team at this Roco's continues to strategically innovate and energise - focused but simple promotions to boost turnover in quiet periods, and now brekkie with a difference ! We managed to slip in just before cutoff time, and were presented with a dedicated A6 sized 'brekkie menu' , which offers 7 unique breakfast 'creations', as well as the ability to create one's own unique concoction, should the mood take you.... I opted for 'RocMuffin 1' - which was a tasty 'breakfast stuff on a roll' - despite the fact that it's advertised as being on an English Muffin, the host apologised that they were out of stock of the muffin, and offered alternatives - I took the breadroll option, and enjoyed the 'Muffin' with 2 rashers bacon, an egg (to order), cheddar cheese, RocoMayo and Old School BBQ sauce. Just enough, really tasty, and washed down with excellent Lavazza coffee. Most enjoyed. With Roco's convenient early opening times, might just be able to sneak in again during the week .... !

I was surprised to receive a pair of nicely designed and well conceived promotional vouchers in our mailbox about a week ago. Having been to this Roco's a couple of times over the past several months, and finding it busy most of the time (aside from when a 'BIG MATCH' was on), I would have thought there was no need to do this promotion ? But good on the partners in this business for pushing for greater growth. (Always remember the classic story where 'LifeBouy soap' stopped advertising during WW2 as they thought with all their production bought and allocated to the war effort, what was the point ? - They NEVER EVER regained their pre war market position again !). The promotion was a straight R 38 per person off a 'dinner' bill - which goes a long way toward the cost of a burger (about R 60 a pop on average). We ordered on their funky order sheets, and were served our drinks swiftly and a little later the burgers and fries arrived, all of which were good ! To be pedantically critical, perhaps the burgers were a mite smaller than I remember previously, and slightly overcooked on this occasion. Nonetheless, still a very popular venue, and a nice casual place to socialise and enjoy !

The family enjoyed the Rocomama's visits we had made to the Randburg branch some time ago, so we were excited to see that a new branch had opened at the Town Square Centre near us in Weltevreden Park. The place was quite busy only a few days after opening, and customers and staff all seemed to be having a great time. We enjoyed the best Rocomama's burgers that we have had so far. Aside from the great food and service, the decor and atmosphere - orange and black and grainy wood counters and benches is new, bright and exciting, and the gas flame heaters / lights, add warmth and excitement in the evenings. We love ROCOMAMAS !

Having noticed that a Rocomama's had popped up (with incredible speed) right in our own backyard so to speak, recently decided to give it a try, compliments of our daughter ! Whilst I was impressed with Roco's Ferndale (original), and more impressed with Bel Air, Town Square really knocked me out ! The place was pumping and vibey - at about 80% full on a Saturday evening (not too empty, not too full - with apologies to a well known nursery rhyme !). We selected our food and drinks, and in no time, were served our scrumptious meals. All was great, and everyone there seemed to be having a really great time, enjoying the high energy, black and orange (both are the new black ?!, and of course, the food !). Had a chat with (presumably) one of the owners, who revealed that they (Roco's) had recently 'tied up' - in some sort of alliance with Spur. Certainly makes total sense to me, and confirms my contention that 'someone' (big) would notice the Roco success. So presume that Spur now has an outlet for it's stale / 'potbound' (but still hugely popular) proposition, in my conjecture, being able to help with franchisee selection, supply chain, finance, staffing, shopfitting, training ... the list goes on. Continued success guys .. it's a great, refreshing value proposition ! Nice !

    Wow! Blown away!!!!!
Been to different Rocomama's several times and as always the burger remains amazing and the quality is always consistent. The best combo is any burger paired with their shoe string fries (go for small since even their small is a big portion), and any one of their craft beers. You won't be sorry.
The service is fantastic and fast !!!!

    Worth a visit
