The restaurant is situated in a typical wooden-floored sprawling house on Durban’s vibrant Windermere Road, Indian Connection offers something different for Durban’s diners. The menu includes a range of Korma (curries), chicken dishes, fish and mutton, as well as delectable Vegetarian options. Offering the cuisine of two talented young chefs from Mumbai, it’s no wonder that Indian Connection has yet to receive a complaint about their food.
Indian Connection boasts a fully licensed bar, with a wine list recently revamped to accompany the various curries on offer. Various Indian beers, such as Cobra and Kingfisher are on offer, as well as a full range of other beers and spirits. The walls are painted crisp-white, with traditional stained glass windows and ornate Indian paintings creating an unmistakably Eastern vibe. Various dining areas are available, including a glassed in veranda and a number of small, private rooms, as well as the main dining room.
The restaurant was bought by Sasi Gangiah (from Bangalore, India) in October, and the decor, menu and ambiance all come together to create a dining establishment that is both traditionally Indian and undeniably contemporary. All the staff members at Indian Connection are committed to the Indian tradition of hospitality, and wish to make you feel at home and well looked after. Between the friendly atmosphere, newly revamped decor and sensational cuisine, you are bound to be back for more.
