    I have been trying to get sense out of anyone at Telkom regarding my fibre issues for 2 days solid. They do not have a dedicated fibre query centre so you have to give the same story to someone different every time you call 10210. I have used over R150 in airtime and lost 2 days earnings as I work from home. I have been told by two different people my call has been escalated and someone will call me back. Lucky I didn't hold my breath.
    I am out of ideas as it seems to be a tricky problem, so the answer from Telkom is just to ignore you. I will be changing my ISP as soon as possible, enough is enough.

    Useless!

    I have been trying to get sense out of anyone at Telkom regarding my fibre issues for 2 days solid. They do not have a dedicated fibre query centre so you have to give the same story to someone different every time you call 10210. I have used over R150 in airtime and lost 2 days earnings as I work from home. I have been told by two different people my call has been escalated and someone will call me back. Lucky I didn't hold my breath.
    I am out of ideas as it seems to be a tricky problem, so the answer from Telkom is just to ignore you. I will be changing my ISP as soon as possible, enough is enough.

    Headache alert

    Such a headache to deal with Telkom on a Monday which just spoils the rest of the week. Internet stopped working, some fault on Telkom side, but to get them to fix it, and with the absurd charges they charge, a real nightmare, would definitely be better without it, but alas, internet is required

    Poor

    The Telkom call centre always seem to have high call volumes at any time of the day and the reason for this seems to be the quality of the call agents. They never seem to be trained enough to address a variety of issues and are always providing a generic reasoning for various issues.     No help just before closing time

    I'm not trying to be mean with all the 1's but for these specific aspects it must be a 1. I spent ages on the phone waiting and never got through.     I am a pensioner of Telkom and i can only tell that the service is so BAD it is a shame. Phoned 7 times and cannot get any satisfation
    from anybody even Supervisors or Managers. 1. Report via sms on the 21.10.2015 ref. 565117125. no reply what so ever. 2. On the 4.11.2015
    spoke to Donald ref. 456CRZ041115 promised to investigate. 3. On 10.11.2015 asked for Supervisor called Nandy and she promised the world and to lool into the matter and also promised to Phone back the same day. 4. On the 12.11.2015 now asked for Manager named Sitwal but i dont think he was as Manager. 5. On the 17.11.2015 again i asked for the Manager and someone called Ralf spoke to me and stated he was the
    Manager he also promised to look into the matter and will phone back in one hour stil up to this day nothing has been done. I tried to get hold of the Director JA Mabuza and SN Maseko but to no avail. It seems to me that Telkom needs a pribe to attend to your faults. On radio and TV Telkom wants to buy Cell C but GOD forbid they can not even fix a Telkom line. All i can see Telkom retrench so much Staff and now they
    have only two technicans for the whole Gauteng.

    absulute Pathetic

    Pathetic

    Terrible

    Spent over an hour on the phone with Telkom, just to find out what time the technician would be at my house, as they just gave me a date. At the end they still could not give me a time, just said someone would call an hour before he came. (which they did but they couldn't complete the installation that day)

    Extremely Frustrating

    I have sent about 3 request to Telkom online to contact me to have a telephone line ADSL installed at home. No one has contacted me and it has been over a month! I contacted them and the consultant I spoke to did not sound like he knew what he was doing and didn't treat me like a customer ought to be treated. I have given up on Telkom!

    They are TRYING

    I struggled with Telkom, and on more then one occasion. It isn't worth the time.

    The time waiting for somebody to answer is absolutely ridiculous. I do think that a business as huge as Telkom should have more people working in their call centre. When calling to report a fault on your fixed land line, you have to use somebody else's phone in the first place because yours is not working, and I find that terribly inconvenient to the person whose phone you are using, having you sit on their phone for over an hour if not longer. I am a pensioner and my landline is my safety should I need anybody, but when reporting a fault they tell you they will look into it, if it is your fault, there is an amount you have to pay, and they will get around to "looking into it"within 3-5 working days!!!! My landline is my safety net and to be without it is a total inconvenience to me.
    When calling about Internet problems, you eventually get an automated voice telling you that you can report this fault online, how can you report online if your internet is not working? Maybe there is a way and maybe I am stupid but surely if your internet is down you cannot report anything online? Definitely a waste of time phoning Telkom - they will fix your fault but it might take a week or so.

    A very LONG wait

    The time waiting for somebody to answer is absolutely ridiculous. I do think that a business as huge as Telkom should have more people working in their call centre. When calling to report a fault on your fixed land line, you have to use somebody else's phone in the first place because yours is not working, and I find that terribly inconvenient to the person whose phone you are using, having you sit on their phone for over an hour if not longer.     Telkom Fault Reporting

    I am shocked reported a fault on 16 February for my elderly parents who are in their eighties and still nothing has been done to sort our the land line! Phoned daily and left hanging on for 30 minutes cannot even speak to a consultant. Logged the fault on the web on 16th February they maintain two days to sort the problem out guess what I am still waiting and my landline is lying on my desk on speak for the last 30 minutes all the consultants are busy!!! Not sure this is the way to treat pensioners!!!!

    When I speak to the Telkom executives, they are excited about the progress made on customer experience. The sad reality is that the service remains shocking. I recently requested my business line to be transferred to our new address and the agent told me that number portability does not exist. We then agreed to instal a new line. A date was agreed and a confirmation SMS was sent to my mobile. BUT the technician did not pitch. So I call the the Contact Centre, 10217, and twice held on for 10 minutes on my mobile...no agent. Today I waited for 29 minutes before an agent responded. Once again to be transferred to another area...Why do you advertise a single number? Anyway, I spoke to an agent, Desiree, who sounded like she knew what she was talking about. More promises made and no one rocked-up today.

    Lots of promises and a No Show

    When I speak to the Telkom executives, they are excited about the progress made on customer experience. The sad reality is that the service remains shocking.     Well done

    The call centre has certainly improved. The agents seem to be better equipped to handle issues. I had ADSL issues due to the lightening and the agent guided me through the setup of the new modem. Many thanks and well done!

    phoned to have a sim blocked last night 22 Dec 2014, on hold for almost an hour - my call is important blah blah..... then was informed telkom mix is closed from 1700 to 0800 and unable to block sims or cell phones after hours, to call back at 0800. it is now 0855 and my call has still not been attended to. what does one do when trying to save the the time on ones contract sim? it is now 0900 just been informed that call centre cannot suspend sims, can only be done in store. this is now 13 hours later!!!

    miss

    phoned to have a sim blocked last night 22 Dec 2014, on hold for almost an hour - my call is important blah blah..... then was informed telkom mix is closed from 1700 to 0800 and unable to block sims or cell phones after hours, to call back at 0800. it is now 0855 and my call has still not been attended to. what does one do when trying to save the the time on ones contract sim? it is now 0900 just been informed that call centre cannot suspend sims, can only be done in store. this is now 13 hours later!!!

    Lost for Words
